The Egyptian Tourism Federation (ETF)

The Egyptian Federation of tourist Chambers is a professional union established by the decision of the president of the Republic by Law No. 85 of 1968 and operates in accordance with Law No. 27 of 2023 on the establishment of tourist chambers and the organization of a union for them and has a legal personality and takes care of the common interests of tourism activity and those responsible in the Arab Republic of Egypt and coordinates the work of tourist chambers, divisions and branches in various tourist areas and assists the government represented by the Ministry of tourism in developing and implementing the country's tourism plan and expresses its opinion on legislation and regulations related to tourism, the federation seeks to create an ideal climate for the advancement of the Egyptian tourism industry and promote Working competitiveness, and working to raise the level of the workforce in the tourism sector to reach the highest international levels. The aforementioned law stipulates that "the Union takes care of the common interests of tourism activity in the Arab Republic of Egypt and coordinates the work of tourist chambers, divisions and branches in tourist areas, supervises the proper functioning of these bodies and assists the government in developing and implementing the tourism plan in the country and expresses its opinion on legislation and regulations related to tourism, and the Ministry of tourism should take the opinion of the Union in draft laws and regulatory decisions related to tourism activity"
